HIKING

 4 hours , -1100,+100,  6 km

The trail starts with a gentle descent through terraced fields and charming rural homes. As you depart from the village, you’ll be enveloped by the vibrant trees like mimosa,pine and eucalyptus.

As you continue, the trail becomes more rugged and offers spectacular views of the valley below. This section includes a mix of rocky paths and dirt trails, with some steep inclines. Upon reaching Losna, you’ll find a small village where you can observe traditional Cape Verdean architecture and perhaps engage with the friendly locals.

Xoxo is a picturesque village set amidst the mountains. Known for its serene environment and panoramic views, Xoxo is the perfect endpoint for this hike. Here, you can take time to relax, enjoy the stunning scenery, and explore the village. The locals are renowned for their hospitality, and you might have the opportunity to sample local delicacies or enjoy a refreshing drink.

If you want to walk longer, you can end up in Ribeira Grande city(+ 6 km on the road).
