Hiking from Agua das Caldeiras to Ribeira da Torre to Ribeira Grande

As we reach the highest point of the Ribeira Grande / Porto Novo Road, we begin our walk along the cobbled road. Within minutes, we transition onto a path through the slopes leading to a village, where we immerse ourselves in unique landscapes. The final segment of the route is traversed on the road for a distance of 6 km through the valley. The flora of the region varies with altitude and humidity, featuring predominantly multicolored shrubs including pine, eucalyptus, acacia, cypress, gravilea, medicinal plants, and some species of endemic plants.
